Job Description:
Job Title: Project Logistics Manager
Location: Edwards, CO
Department: Operations/Design
Reports to: Owner and Principal Designer
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75K - $90K Depending Upon Experience
Job Overview:
Studio James, a luxury interior design firm dedicated to turning
visionary designs into reality, is seeking a highly organized and
detail-oriented Project Logistics Manager to join our team. In this
pivotal hybrid role, best suited for candidates based in Colorado,
you will be at the heart of the action, managing both the
operational and logistical processes that ensure the timely
procurement, delivery, and installation of high-end furnishings and
materials. You'll own and manage the non-design daily tasks that
bring our clients' visions to life.
As the Project Logistics Manager, you will work closely with our
talented team, the Owner, and the Lead Designer to ensure seamless
project execution, from ordering and shipping to installation and
completion. You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes
environment where your organization and multitasking skills are key
to success. This is not a standard 9-5 role-if you're looking to
"check out" at the end of the day, this isn't for you. Our projects
require flexibility, commitment, and occasional after-hours work,
including travel for in-person client meetings and
installations.
Key Responsibilities:
---Ownership of Non-Design Tasks: Take charge of coordinating and
managing the ordering, production, shipping, receiving, and
installation of all hard and soft goods, ensuring flawless
execution across all projects.
---Client and Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong
relationships with vendors, contractors, sub-contractors, and
clients, contributing to a supportive professional network. Your
clear, detailed, and kind communication will help ensure successful
outcomes.
---Project Management: Develop and manage project timelines,
budgets, and execution plans. Coordinate closely with designers to
understand project needs and timelines, and ensure that all phases
are executed on schedule.
---Procurement: Procure selections previously made by design team
and manage high-end materials, furniture, and d--cor items from
luxury vendors, creating purchase orders, tracking shipments, and
managing inventory to align with project deadlines.
---Logistical Oversight: Oversee all logistics related to
deliveries and installations, ensuring materials arrive in perfect
condition and are installed according to the project plan. Working
closely with the receiving warehouse and build a strong
relationship. Coordiante freight claims and repair services for
items that do arrive damage.
---Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and address logistical challenges,
anticipating potential issues and implementing solutions
proactively.
---Documentation & Proposals: Managing and creating client
proposals, purchase orders, and maintaining project documentation.
Ensure meticulous organization across all project-related
processes.
---Physical Support: Occasionally assist with the physical movement
of goods during installations (lifting up to 50lbs) and provide
hands-on support as needed.
Additional Requirements:
---Hybrid Role: This position is hybrid, and candidates living in
Colorado are preferred. While much of the work can be done
remotely, you must be available to travel for in-person client
meetings, vendor meetings, sub-contractor meetings and be on-site
for all installations as required.
---Travel: Flexibility to travel based on client needs and project
deadlines is expected and a requirement. Mileage and expense
reimbursement will be provided.
---Team Days: We value collaboration, and the team meets in-person
monthly for strategy sessions and team-building activities.
---Hours: While the role is full-time, there will be times when
more than 40 hours per week are required, particularly during
project installs and deadlines.
---Work Ethic: If you're looking for a typical 9-5 job where you
can "check out" at the end of the day, this is not the role for
you. We require someone who can be flexible and committed to the
fast-paced nature of luxury interior design.
---Small Business: Experience and/or willingness to work in a small
company, 2-3 person team enviroment
Skills and Requirements:
---Education: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Project
Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field

logistics, specifically within the interior design, architecture,
or luxury goods industries is required. Proven track record of
successfully managing complex projects, overseeing budgets, and

deadlines and keep projects on track.

skills, with the ability to collaborate with designers, vendors,
and clients. Clear speaking voice and a pleasant, professional
presence.
---Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and quality control
in managing purchase orders, material tracking, and installations.
Catching mistakes before they happen is crucial for this role.
