SUMMARY: Provide nursing care to patients in Med/Surg. All aspects
of nursing process; assess plans, implement and evaluate and
documentation of care. DUTIES: -- Plans for and utilizes nursing
process to meet needs of patients of all ages. Includes assessment,
planning (discharge, nursing care), implementation and evaluation.
(Assess per chart review) -- Performs treatment in a safe and
effective manner. -- Administers medications in a safe and timely
manner. -- Maintains responsibility for preparation, interpretation
and evaluation of test data. -- Demonstrates knowledge and skills
to act appropriately in an emergency situation. -- Demonstrates
knowledge and participates in education and counseling of patients
and significant other in a plan of care. -- Demonstrates commitment
to professional growth and competency. May be required to complete
periodic mandatory education as established by the Education
Director and the Director of Medical/Surgical Nursing. -- Promotes
positive interpersonal relationships and demonstrates effective
communication skills. -- Maintains confidentiality of all patient
and hospital information. -- Practices according to professional
and ethical standards and enforces the same. Demonstrates an
understanding of and functions as a professional nurse in
accordance with Colorado State Nurse Practice Act. -- Provides care
to patients in Medical/Surgical floor. -- Participate in committees
as assigned. -- Perform in accordance with all local, state, and
federal laws and regulatory agency standards. -- Perform in
accordance with EPH vision, mission and goals. -- All other duties
as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: -- Graduate of accredited
School of Nursing. -- Must possess a valid Colorado RN license or a
valid multistate RN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact. --
Must be American Heart Association BLS certified upon employment.
-- ACLS and basic ECG. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!! VERIFICATION OF

patients or perform any responsibility requiring a license, a HR
representative will confirm receipt of the following
credentials/documents from candidates travel agency: -- Current CO
license or multistate license and source verified o If permanent
license, verify online & print a copy of the page. o If temporary
license, have copy of authorization letter from Colorado Board of
Nursing; verify by phone, note on copy and place in their file. --
Copies of certifications required for the position that are listed
in the Job Description . o Such as: BLS and ACLS must be AHA, and
PALS. -- Immunization records including documentation of immunity
to Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps, Varicella-Zoste, Hep B and Tetanus. --
TB test within the last year. We will only accept QuantiFERON. --
Influenza shot is required by the State of Colorado no exceptions
during influenza season. Influenza season is Sept 1 st (depending
on availability of flu vaccines) through to March 31 st of the
following year, or as otherwise defined by the Department of
Epidemiology and Flu Surveillance Team. -- Confirmation of having
received the COVID Vaccine (copy of vaccine card). -- Copy of
negative 10 panel drug screen results (within the last 30 days). --
Resume' with work experience. -- Documented references. -- Proof of
all required Regulatory (OSHA) Training. -- Assessment of
skills/competencies. -- Results of criminal background check
including OIG (within the last 30 days). -- CAPS check through the
State of Colorado (required for all patient care positions). I will
