They work with individuals across the life span to enhance their ability to communicate effectively.Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech language and swallowing assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
• Provide therapy to improve communication skills including speech clarity and language comprehension.
• Educate patients and caregivers about communication strategies and techniques.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.Requirements
  • Master s degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent.
  • State licensure as a speechlanguage pathologist.
